Cheap Cruise in the Bahamas!

Ahh....What I wish I was doing right now....

Well, I think I can finally afford to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.  First, I have never been to Miami (or Florida for that matter), and second, I have never been on a cruise.  While doing my usual online trip surfing today, I found an amazing deal on a cruise that departs from Miami.  The best part is I may have actually talked my husband into it!   We usually don’t consider cruises in the Bahamas, because it just seems too far away from Seattle to be affordable….”When I’m rich I’ll go to the Bahamas“.   But, when I saw that CruiseDirect was offering a 4-Night Bahamas cruise with Norweigen Cruise Lines for $179 per person, I instantly began searching like a madwoman for the cheapest airfares to Miami from Seattle.  After checking the usual suspects, JetBlue, cFares & Southwest, I suprisingly found the cheapeast flight on Priceline.  The sale cruise is available on September 29th through October 3rd.   Priceline is offering a round trip flight departing from Seattle to Miami on the 28th for only $273.  With the cruise leaving the next day, that gives us plenty of time to relax around Miami.   Another cheap flight I found was on Alaska Airlines, which I found by using Kayak (meta-search engine).  Alaska Airlines has DIRECT flights between Seattle and Miami, which leave at 9:00 p.m. in Seattle, so you can just sleep the whole way there for about $360 round trip.  Basically, if you haven’t done the math yet, we are looking at a total cost of only $904 for both of us to fly to Miami and cruise the Bahamas for 4 nights.  Is that a good deal or what?!   Bon Voyage.
